Dress down to support music mental health charity

Dress down at work on Friday 29 November 2019 and support Cloth Cat

On Friday 29 November 2019 Cloth Cat is celebrating ‘Wear Your Old Band T-Shirt To Work Day’ – an idea that originated with BBC DJ Steve Lamaq in 2007.

Cloth Cat is a Leeds music education and mental health charity which supports people living in disadvantaged circumstances in Leeds by using the power of music to help them to feel more confident, less stressed, gain new skills and tackle social isolation.

You can support one of the Cloth Cat activities providing music therapy in the specialist NHS mental health wards at the Newsam Centre and Becklin Centre. Up to now these activities have been supported by local bands volunteering to play gigs which raise the required money to fund these twice weekly sessions. Every now and then we need to top up the funding to keep this work going and this is where you can help it to run for another 6 months.

So lets find out more than you probably wanted to know about your colleagues and support a worthwhile cause.

All you have to do is spread the word among the staff to wear their old/favorite or local band T-shirt and bring a donation.

Alternatively you can go to our website clothcatleeds.org.uk and click on the ‘Support Us’ tab then select your amount and hit the donate button.

*Cash collected can be transferred by bank to Cloth Cat via your HR department or an individual. However, if you would like to come and meet us and have a tour of the studios in Holbeck you can bring it in person.
