A defibrillator for Hunslet Green

At Sunday’s Hunslet RLFC v Hunslet Club Parkside game at the South Leeds Stadium (29 January 2017), Lizzie Jones presented a Defibrillator to Hunslet Green, home of the Hunslet Warriors ARLFC.

The Danny Jones Fund was set up by Lizzie after the sudden death of her husband, Danny, whilst playing for Keighley Cougars RLFC. She aims to help every amateur rugby league club to have a defibrillator. Hunslet Green, opposite Morrisons in Hunslet, raised funds of over £1000 to pay for the defibrillator and several of the committee and parents have been trained in its use, thanks to cooperation from neighbours ERS who run an ambulance service.
