A summer of community fetes, festivals, fairs and galas across South Leeds kicks off this week in Cottingley.
Cottingley Summer Fair takes place on Saturday 18th May at Cottingley Primary Academy.
The event, which runs from 11:00am to 3:00pm, is being organised by local residents and workers from community organisations. It is funded by MICE money from ward Councillors and from the Inner South Area Committee Wellbeing Fund.
There will be a range of stalls from local business, organisations and community groups. A café will be provided by the primary school. Other activities are as follows:

- Fire Service
- Aire Valley Homes Bus
- Planting and gardening activities
- Crafts activities
- Mobile Library
- Youth Service Bus
- Leeds United football skills
- Sports Activities
- Bouncy castle and sumo suits
- Giant outdoor games
Entertainment will be provided by South Leeds Community Radio and Aire Bear and there will be performances by:
- Lynbar Majorettes
- DAZL
- Supreme Starlets Majorettes
- Winthorpe Whirlers Majorettes
