Club’s cancer charity night raises over £1,900

In November Rowland Road WMC hosted in charity evening in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust, St Gemma’s Hospice and Macmillan Cancer Support.

The entertainment was 11 piece soul band Clandestine Root who have been going since the 1960s but now just get together once a year to raise money for cancer charities having lost 3 members of the band over the years to cancer.

Raffle prizes were donated by many local businesses such as Leeds United FC, Leeds Rhinos, Heineken and Coors to name a few. The evening was a great success, well supported and we raised £1,920 which was split between the three charities. A big thank you to the band and members for their support on the evening.
