Beeston businessman’s award winning pickle

Jad Choudry from Beeston has won a prestigious national award for his hot chilli pickle, he was also shortlisted for the Entrepreneur of the Year at the UK Bangladesh Catalysts of Commerce and Industry (UKBCCI) awards ceremony in London.

Jad received his award from  Amjad Bashir (MEP, Yorks & Humber). The award ceremony was held on Sunday (15 October 2017) at the Hilton hotel on Park Lane in London’s West End and hosted by by BBC presenter Jennie Bond.

Naga King is a pickle that uses the hottest chilli – Dorset Naga – and comes in 3 products. Naga King has been in development since 2013. After perfecting the product, it was launched in the summer of 2017 as a trial all over the UK. The demand and feedback was excellent and it’s soon to be launched in shops all over the UK.

Jad told South Leeds Life:

“I am tremendously grateful for the recognition I have received for my work. The journey has not been easy. I have been faced with several challenges on my way here, but each one of them has only made me stronger and helped me to become the businessman I am today.
