Born in Hunslet in 1946 and attended Low Road School before going to Parkside Secondary Modern at age 13. Started a 5 year Electrical apprenticeship with the Natoinal Coal Board at Water Haigh Colliery near Leeds, attending Whitwood Technical College gaining the Mining National Certificate. Leaving mining soon after completing my apprenticeship held a number of Electrical jobs, panel wirer, maintenance, design engineer before retiring after 10 years working all over UK as HV Electrical Fitter. Lifelong Hunslet Hawks supporter at present trying to promote them in the media, and also part of the Stadium Community Team on match days.
