Appeal: 13-year-Old Girl Injured in Fail to Stop Collision, Belle Isle, Leeds

Police are appealing for witnesses after a driver failed to stop after being involved in a collision with a 13-year-old girl in the Belle Isle area of Leeds on Tuesday (7 November 2017).

The 13-year-old female pedestrian suffered serious injuries in the collision on Old Run Road near to the junction with West Grange Drive, which happened shortly after 5pm.

She continues to be treated at Leeds General Infirmary for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The vehicle involved is described as black. Police received separate reports of an older shaped, possibly mark two, black Vauxhall Corsa being driven in an erratic manner in the area around the time of the collision.

Officers from the Safer Roads and Neighbourhood Support Team are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision itself or who saw a black Vauxhall Corsa or any other vehicle they think may be connected to this incident.
