It’s almost time for the panto (oh yes it is!)

Rehearsals are well underway and the back stage crew at St Andrew’s Pantomime Group are preparing props, costumes and scenery. This year’s production is Little Miss Muffet …

Little Miss Muffet, sat on a Tuffet, eating her Curds and Whey. What is a Tuffet?

What are Curds and Whey? Why was Miss Muffet sitting on one and eating the other? None of these questions and more will be answered in our story of Little Miss Muffet.

Poor Little Miss Muffet is an orphan living with her Auntie, the world famous scientist Professor Miranda Muffet. She is studying hard to go to University and will inherit her parents’ fortune when she turns 18 in a few months time, but all is not well.

Molly’s Uncle Mortimer has landed on hard times and got in with a bad crowd and he has other plans for her money. And if things couldn’t get any worse, the Professor has just brought home the biggest, scariest spider in the world from the Rainforest, against all Health and Safety regulations (nothing could possibly go wrong there then).

Miss Muffet and her Auntie aren’t alone though, she has her friends Jack Horner and Contrary Mary, a bustling housekeeper and a lazy butler to help or hinder her. If you want to find out what happens join us as we present our story of Little Miss Muffet.

Little Miss Muffet runs from 13-27 January 2018 at St Andrew’s Community Centre, Old lane, Beeston. Tickets, £5 (adult) and £3 (child) are on sale now. Call 07443 571868 or email: standrewspantogroup@hotmail.com.

The performance on Thursday 25 January will be British Sign Language interpreted for those with hearing impairments.

If you can’t wait until January why not pop along to The Hunslet Club on Friday 1 or Sunday 3 December 2017 to see their production of Cinderella. Ring (0113) 271 6489 for tickets.
